SprintPrint started in 1987, which is a very long time ago in the printing business. Much of the equipment we use today wasn’t yet developed. Computers played a small role in the printing business back then (the Web was still two years away); telecommunications were crude and slow — a decidedly low- to mid-tech environment. We decided to build a company based on craftsmanship, hard work, and personal assurances. We’d seen the way some other printers ran their businesses, and we wanted to do something different.
We grew slowly. There was plenty of competition, since printing technology continued to explode. Lots of people thought they could make a living by simply putting ink on paper. We stayed on the leading edge of technology, being among the first in the area to adopt newly introduced equipment. As the Web and email became dependable, we jumped in big-time. Word began to spread that we do a good job, and that our work is something a business manager can depend on.
In 1993, we built a new office in Fitchburg Center. The move gave us the opportunity to add the space we needed to grow. Technology had reduced the need for face-to-face contact with our clients, and we use increasingly advanced telecommunications to handle job ordering, proofing, and file transfer.
Over the years, SprintPrint has become more and more like the technology we use: efficient, finely tuned, adaptable. The SprintPrint team reliably turns out great product, produces results and delivers promises. We haven’t replaced the personal touch — our people are essential to our clients and to a craftsman-like printing process. By marrying high-tech capabilities with a high-touch approach, we’ve made that process easier. For knowledgeable clients who know what they want and seek the dependability of an honest, long-term relationship, SprintPrint is simply the best printer around.
